Mount Pleasant Music History Tour this Sunday

Mt. Pleasant Music History Walking Tour
(followed by after party at Haydee's)

2 - 4pm
Meet at the CVS (at 14th and Irving) at 2pm
Free!

Come out and hear about the history of music in Mount Pleasant from neighbors who experienced it! A collaborative tour designed and conducted by neighborhood historian Mara Cherkasky, cultural anthropologist Olivia Cadaval, punk musician Natalie Avery and music producer Wayne Kahn.

The tour will cover the stories, the places and the people that made Mt. Pleasant a center of cultural movement and a major contributer to country, bluegrass, latin folk, punk, mariachi and other music styles.

Afterwards, join us for a music history exhibit at La Casa (3166 Mt. Pleasant St NW) opening at 4pm and an after-party at Haydee's (Irving and Mt. Pleasant St) complete with live bands starting at 4:30pm! (If the Voluntary Agreement decision is unfavorable, we'll be having the after-party at La Casa.)
